Richard W. (Rick) Loving is a native of Lynchburg and a graduate of the University of Lynchburg. His first book, Goodnight Lynchburg, combined his passion for history and photography to inspire children, families and friends to explore Lynchburg and have fun learning about the wonderful places this area has to offer.
The book had been featured on “Living in the Heart of Virginia” and was a part of the Lynchburg City Schools 2020 Summer Staycation on-line learning program.
Rick recently completed his second book, African Safari ABCs – a book about the animals of the Serengeti which displays photos from his visits to Tanzania in a learning adventure that identifies an animal for each letter as well as some interesting and unique facts about that animal.
